Affiliated District Associations
संलग्न जिल्हा संघटनाThirty-six District Associations are affiliated to the Maharashtra Athletics Association. Entries to every state championship are routed through the district; each unit elects its own office bearers and conducts district championships in the categories set by the Association.

Affiliation
One district association is recognised per district. Affiliation is renewed annually; units that have not renewed cannot submit entries to state championships.
District championships
District championships are the qualifying route to state competition. Districts must hold their championship and submit results to MAA before entering the corresponding state championship.
