Athletics in Maharashtra rests on thirty-six District Associations and the officials who give their weekends to it. Everything the state achieves nationally begins there.
[Message to be supplied by the President.] The text below is a structural placeholder showing the length and shape the page is designed for — roughly four to six paragraphs.
The Association enters its eightieth year with more registered athletes and more certified officials than at any point in its history. That growth places obligations on us: to conduct championships that start on time and publish results the same day, to keep age verification beyond question, and to make the path from a district meeting to a national vest visible to every young athlete in the state.
Our priorities for the coming season are the talent identification programme across the divisions, electronic timing at every state championship, and a results archive that any athlete, coach or journalist can search.
I thank the District Associations, the technical officials, the coaches and the athletes' families, whose work is the reason any of this is possible.
